The Year of Social HR
SocialHRCamp (#SHRC13) is the catalyst to accelerating HR's adoption to social media. Established in 2012 as the first-ever global HR Unconference, #SHRC13 focuses on bridging business case to business value through a hands-on approach to the "how to" of social media. With a vision to inspire HR leaders and organizations to take the next step, Camp events provide the opportunity for participants to design a learning path in partnership with local and global thought leaders.

In its inaugural year, #SocialHRCamp influenced five key markets across the United States and Canada (Vancouver, Toronto, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago ILSHRM Conference) drawing a diverse mix of strategic and operational HR and business leaders from a variety of industries. With a goal of creating engaged local as well global communities through a compelling value proposition, speakers are crowd-sourced to ensure the #SocialHRCamp platform is a place of passion, potential and practical impact. In 2012 this included Founder of Blogging4Jobs and Social Media Influencer, Jessica Miller-Merrell, Co-Founder of YouTern—Mark Babbitt, CEO of TalentCulture, Meghan M. Biro, CEO of Payroll Hero and Serial Entrepreneur, Stephen Jagger.
This year #SHRC13 will expand into additional markets in the United States as well South and East Asia.
