Sydney Elaine Butler

HR Professional | Accessibility Specialist, Speaker and Consultant at Accessible Creates | Human Resources Consultant at TotallyHR| Previous HR Clerk at Skills for Change | CHRP Candidate, HRPA Professional Development Committee Volunteer. A 2020 graduate from Sheridan College from the Honours of Bachelor of Business Administration-Human Resources program. As a neurodiverse individual who is also an HR Professional. It is my understanding that my professional purpose must be to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to be successful regardless of barriers in their way, and I must as a professional remove these barriers. I wrote AODA policies, practices and procedures for a non-profit and made sure they were compliant and were in a situation where they could better train their employees to work alongside and provide support to clients with disabilities. I hosted a workshop for my team for Disability Pride Month to help educate them and have them start the importance of Accessibility and Accommodation for all. I believe educating and speaking about these things is essential as part of my duty to both the communities I identify so strongly with.
