Sabrina Meherally (she/her)

Sabrina Meherally (she/her) is an equitable design thought leader residing as a settler and daughter of refugee and immigrant parents, on the stolen lands of the

xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) nations. She founded Pause and Effect to challenge urgency culture in innovation – encouraging organizations to deeply contemplate impact in order to create thoughtful and inclusive customer and employee experiences. With a background in HR, product design and digital strategy, she’s seen the way diversity, equity and inclusion can be operationalized and integrated throughout every facet of an organization.

Her interest in socially conscious innovation has led her to work on design initiatives at both a local and international scale.

Sabrina believes that change starts with our ability to contemplate and to imagine alternative, liberated futures. She is energized by speculative fiction, sci-fi, travel adventures and a good cup of coffee.
