According to Cher, geek is chic! This self-proclaimed “cool geek” has the love of technology hard-wired into her personality. She spends way more time on the internet then she cares to admit, connecting on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, testing new apps, or reading the latest technology websites and blogs.
As an accomplished corporate communications and PR professional with 15 years of experience, she has worked with several leading Canadian companies and for one of the largest municipal governments in Canada.
Through her company Socially Active, she provides fun and highly engaging corporate social media training sessions, keynotes, and talks. Cher helps businesses and organizations educate their employees with the knowledge needed to participate responsibly, effectively and strategically online. She`s often invited to share her social media knowledge and experience at conventions, corporate events and on industry panels.
In her spare time, Cher mentors youth and regularly appears on the CBC show Steven and Chris testing wacky ‘As Seen on TV’ products.
