From 1st interview, to your first day of work, Matt and Steph Corker will share the secrets to hiring during one of the busiest years around the world at lululemon athletica. What did it take to scale our people strategy to achieve business goals? How did we break the rules to make it work? Why working together made it worthwhile?

After assisting the launch of hundreds of workplace intranets Jessica Hollander has learned a few things about what it takes to make them successful. The right team, the right marketing and a bit of planning makes a huge difference. Through an interactive discussion we’ll walk through some best practices and how they might apply to your organizations.

James D. Kondopulos and David S. Louie of Vancouver-based employment and labour law boutique, Roper Greyell LLP, will explore the topic of employer monitoring of off-duty social media use and the balance which the law attempts to strike between the employer right to manage the workplace and the employee right to privacy. The sources of privacy rights will be reviewed, including the applicable legislation and the common law. Recent case law will also be reviewed to highlight considerations around off-duty social media use and the associated risks for employers and employees. James and David will provide practical pointers for employers with respect to off- duty social media and electronic device policies.
