SocialHRCamp 2020 Virtual 3.0

As the world currently grapples with the COVID-19 pandemic, notably how organizations transition to fully remote workforces, the HR community needs to play a huge role in supporting, enabling and leading organizations. We are launching 4 virtual events during the month of April 2020, that will focus on what matters most to organizations, right now. The themes will be:

  1. Employee Engagement (April 9, 2020)
  2. Innovating HR Practices During a Pandemic (April 16, 2020)
  3. Employee Mental Health and Wellbeing (April 23, 2020)
  4. Cultivating Continuing Workplace Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (April 30, 2020)

Sessions will be virtually lead and facilitated by thought-leaders, HR leaders and domain-specific experts. In traditional SocialHRCamp style, we will maximize audience engagement and learning.

All tickets are by donation and 100% of the proceeds will go to a collaborative initiative with Kits for a Cause to support front-line health workers with supplies to fight COVID-19.

The COVID-19 pandemic has introduced tremendous uncertainty, change, and adversity into the lives of people worldwide. This pandemic has led to a significant increase in stress, worry, and anxiety felt from social isolation, family health, finances, and work/home conditions. At Starling, we believe that the more we understand the impacts COVID-19 can have on our mental health, the less we will be afraid of it. In this session, you will discover what the COVID-19 pandemic means for people, and how you can navigate the stress, anxiety, and worry brought on by it.

Seemingly overnight, our world has changed. We have gone from working together in offices, hanging out in groups, and going to restaurants to physically distancing ourselves in our homes. On top of that, we are now working in new ways and in new places. We are experiencing rapid change and facing an uncertain future. This is all stressful. Many experts have compared this experience to the stages of grief. We are collectively and individually grieving a way of life. All of this has an impact on our mental health and overall wellbeing. HR professionals and managers have a unique opportunity to lead in a way that is inclusive and empathetic in the moment and plan for a new normal when as we enter the next chapter. This session explores how to foster a sense of belonging and wellbeing during an uncertain time.

Given the role of HR during this pandemic, Sean will share top advice for HR Professionals not only to support themselves and each other during the COVID-19 pandemic now, but top considerations to get ready for when the workforce returns to the new 'normal' .
