As we get ready for the holidays we at SocialHRCamp are busy bees ramping up for what is going to be a fantastic 2015! Fresh off a successful 3rd SocialHRCamp Toronto at Achievers (btw they have a swanky new website so check it out) in November we’ve quickly switched our focus to Vancouver, the fantabulous city where our journey began in May 2012. You have probably heard by now that our 3rd Vancouver Camp will be taking place on Saturday, January 31st at Hootsuite, the Canadian social media start-up success story. We couldn’t be more ecstatic about the venue and the buzz that has been happening since we launched the Camp just a couple of weeks ago. Further, we’ve switched registration systems to Picatic (based in Vancouver by the way), which has been absolutely awesome to use.
Yesterday we announced the first 3 speakers, and in true Camp fashion these 3 thought-leaders are new to the SocialHRCamp experience, and each possess an incredibly unique skill-set. The first speaker is Katt Stearns, Director of Social Strategy at Katt Stearns Consulting. Katt is a force to be reckoned with in her approach and relentless energy within the social media world. Second is Rocky Ozaki, Director of People & Culture at Chimp.net. Not only does Rocky have a cool gig at leading the People function at a growing Vancouver tech start-up he has unique expertise in helping organizational leaders integrate charitable programs into their workplaces. Third is James Kondopulos, Founding Member and Partner at Roper Greyell LLP – Employment & Labour Lawyers. James practices employment law and has been recognized numerous times as one of the top leading under-40 employment lawyers in Canada. We’re extremely fortunate to have Katt, Rocky and James with us on January 31st.
