Introducing Rise – the World’s First People & Culture Platform

RiseJust a couple of weeks ago we announced the launch of SocialHRCamp Toronto 2016, which will be taking place at the swanky new Lighthouse Labs offices in downtown Toronto. This will be our 13th Camp since it was founded in 2012, and needless to say it’s been an awesome experience so far. We’ve had so many fantastic thought-leaders lead sessions and companies jump on board as a sponsor. One of the cool things about each Camp is we get new HR/Recruitment technology companies joining us. Given SocialHRCamp was founded in Canada, there is a little bias towards Canadian HR tech companies when it comes to sponsorship, eh. Examples include Jostle, Achievers, Talemetry, Plasticity Labs, Riipen, TalentMap, WIRL and videoBIO.

Drum Roll Please…

It’s with excitement that we introduce our first sponsor for SocialHRCamp Toronto… Rise, formerly known as Paysavvy. If you haven’t heard of Rise you need to CHECK THEM OUT! Based in the most beautiful city in the world, Vancouver (you have to see the view from their headquarters in downtown Vancouver), they are moving and shaking in the world of HR tech. Just ask any one of their 500+ clients. You also need to take 2 minutes and click here — read this blog post from Wisam Abdulla, Rise’s Co-Founder & CEO where he declares Rise to be the world’s first People & Culture Platform. Intrigued? You should be.

Disruptive Forces at Work

As we have said many times during the past 4 years, we gravitate towards disruptive people and companies. You can’t move the dial forward if you continue doing the same thing. Whether it be partnering with a company like Rise, or running our first-ever “Coding 101 for HR Practitioners” session at the upcoming Camp, we like to take a few risks along the way. We’re ecstatic to welcome Rise to the SocialHRCamp family — be sure to buy your tickets by clicking on the button below to reserve your spot on Saturday, May 14, 2016.
